The Integrity Institute®

Integrity. . .

Derived from the Latin word Integritas or Integer meaning whole . . . a simple word that has lost its meaning in a complicated world. Yet without integrity, our global economy is unsustainable. We agree with the United Nations in this thought:

"We are now at a critical juncture where putting long-term sustainability, comprehensive risk management and ethics at the top of the corporate agenda must be a priority for business everywhere."

The Integrity Institute is changing the science of corporate performance analysis. We are moving from expectation to prediction and invite you to join us.

The error in our thinking has been that if public companies manage their business to consistently meet their quarterly earnings target and the stock price is rising then the performance of the company must be sustainable—we believe there is a better way.

The failure of analysts to predict Enron, Bear Stearns, or Lehman's downfall or WorldCom, RiteAid, or General Electric's securities fraud has revealed the truth—we must evolve in our thinking or our capital markets will fail to survive.

In light of the current global economic crises, the world at large will inevitably debate the need for more regulation, we believe the answer exists not in the need for more regulation but rather in our ability to predict sustainable performance.

We believe in leadership that if given the ability to understand why their company's performance may be unsustainable will be committed to making the necessary changes to ensure a different outcome.

We believe the solution can be found in our ability to predict unsustainable performance two years in advance and we are committed to providing leaders with the tools and technology to reach their potential to lead with integrity.

In December 2010, after nearly a decade of research, The Integrity Institute will launch the first predictive measure of sustainable performance. The Integrity Index  will finally answer three essential questions we should be asking:

  • How do we predict sustainable performance?

  • Is the culture of the company strong enough to sustain the company's performance?

  • What risk is there that the company's internal structures are not sufficient to maintain the health of the culture?

If you can't quantitatively answer these questions, then we invite you to join The Integrity Institute to find out how you can.

The Integrity Index uses a proprietary model, based on an innovative approach using game theory, that when launched will provide a new level of transparency that allows investors and CEOs to make informed decisions before it is too late.
